Going to be blown to bits afar
We got bloated, we exploded
Causing the microwave door ajar
Oh, oh,
Light of horror, light of fright
We've exploded out of sight
Birdie rapture to the hereafter
forever trapped in x-ray might
Author notes
A parody of "We Three Kings"
I know that you think this is a sick thing to do, but in my family, it's an Easter tradition to microwave a peep!
A few St. Patrick's Days prior, since there was an incredibly long waiting line for the Irish pub, I came up with the song to pass time.
Admit it. You really want to . . .

lol! this was very funny, got a laugh from me, and i think i'm going to try microwaving peeps.. XD... that reminds me of when my mom microwaved carrots..they came out so nasty, XD! anyways, back to this piece.. you know whats so ironic? right now i have, on my piano stand thingy, "we three kings of orient are"... it's the simplest version around (from like 5 years ago, when i first started playing, lol), but.. yeah. anyways, this was really amusing, great job
(and the length was short... w000t! lol)

Thank you for your honesty - everyone has their own opinion. If I may equally as honest however. I submitted two poems to the contest. One was to make him feel happy, and the other was to make him feel sad. I guess I succeeded in one. There were MANY phenominal poems in the contest, very deserving, and I was quite shocked at the results. But, this parody had a special place in my heart, and I love. But thank you for your comments - every writer needs criticism every once in a while

Very amusing
Hahahah... very deserving of recognition... however, I doubt I would choose this as a contest winner of this catagory... Humor, perhaps, not vivid emotion -
I like peeps. I like explosions. Why didn't I ever put the two together?? This Easter, I will make up for seventeen years of wasted peep explosions. This one made me chuckle. Let us all be glad I only read poetry at two a.m. after ten hour shifts.
