Titania's Dream

Missing image
Softest fragrant quilt of pillowed meadow
Embraces slumber of moonlight’s dancer,
Fairy feet still flow between dream’s shadow
Over forest floor, her heart’s seducer.

Promenades blue bells beneath stars’ beacon,
Lucent leaps of stellar kiss, brush prisms
Of dewdrops blush, as swirls feathered falcon
Above tresses blest with glow’s baptism.

Beech leaves swirl enfolding her in their trance,
As wood’s rhythm continues, love’s bold guide
To her soul, sweet everlasting romance
For flora’s fantasy, each eventide.

Celestial spin of midnight bliss sighs,
Wakes Titania under azure skies.

Author notes

A Shakespearean (English) sonnet.

I do not write sonnets as well as you, but I wanted to submit something special in honor of your anniversary. Critiques are always welcomed.

You have painted a wonderful scene here. Vibrant in colour and imagery. I struggle a bit with the meter. To me it's a bit jerky. Lovely sonnet though. Well done

    Beautiful!

I am growing fonder of form poetry and sonnets in particular as I read more of them on this website. Well deserved trophy for this. Nice job.

This is a beautiful scene, with lovely floral imagery. The rhymes initially put me off, but that is my taste. Best of luck in the contest!
