A whispering breeze-
A soft, caring touch-
A smile from your dearest friend.
These are all
Small, but
Wondrous events
That inspire us to live,
To die,
To love,
To be ourselves.
But when you write poetry,
There is a different
Type of inspiration
Needed.
You need a tugging at the heart,
A glimmer of
Feeling in a rush of
Wasted emotions.
You need to
Be able to understand
The difference between
Life
And
Death.
You need to know the
Difference between
Writing down your feelings
And
Poetry.
Author notes
Kind of like prose in a poetry form... I like it though, one of my more thoughtful poems.
