where is my heart?
'Neath lonesome star
spinning in cold emptiness
stardust seed sown
in fertile realities
nature's miracles surround
enduring spirit stone.
Where is my heart?
in slow breath of universe,
in sharp sweet exhale
newborn baby's voice
calling to forgotten selves,
searching soul
seeking reflection
for within there is all;
existence marked upon unending time
my wish 'to be',
sailing softly sweet journey
raised upon love
crossing waters of understanding.

You have explored the vast and the specific here in these beautiful words and have found meaning, particular relevance, in both-- and everything in between. The universe and all its fullness is attainable to him.
There is something about love, being loved, giving love, that brings such marvelous understanding. And not loving? well, not loving brings an immense loneliness, for one can not find his place in the universe. I am reminded of a verse, "he that loves not, does not know God, for God is love. And your question "Where is my heart?" must remain in an unanswering cloud. But he has "brought us out of the darkness into his marvelous light." Just my thoughts.

Gorgeous!
Reading this is medicinal.

Very nice ...
and very nicely done.

A wonderful zen-like quality to this poem - and I was thinking that even before I saw the contest theme! Loved the repetition of where is my heart... so many places to go... lovely poetry.

If you couldn't write zen, I would've been shocked, I think most of your work has a zen like quality to them-
send some zen my way, would you? lol.
Beautiful, but I had no doubt.
