Oh baby boy, your legs shake when you first stand.
I wish to run to your side to be your shield forever,
But I know that there will be nothing more grand
then to see your lips curl in joy. I know you are clever.
Sweet infant to watch you stumble hurts my soul
and I can’t help but want to cry when I see you struggle.
I’m surprised. Full of life you still go and roll
and soon into my arms you wobble safe there to snuggle.
It’s now that gives me the hope to carry on
I know my strong baby will hold to eternity’s song.

Such a joyful moment you portray here, babys struggle to get up and walk, memories flood back, for mothers new and old. a precious piece of poetry.

Beautifu Write
Thank you for your beautiful write here. I love the last line I know my strong baby will hold to eternity's song. Yes he is and so am I. So precious and lips are so cute full of joy, yet stumbled too. Thank you for entering and good luck in the contest. Kelle Marie, stavykm
