Missing You (final goodbye)

She cried at your funeral
And she sang your final song
She embraced your mom with tears in her eyes
And as she laid the rose on your grave she softly whispered goodbye
knowing she could never let go

every night she stares at the pictures of you hidden in broken frames
stolen memories that left too soon
each picture, another memory
each memory, another tear shed

she is broken
the shell of a girl once filled with joy
sitting in the rain with nothing to keep her company but the reminiscence  of you
dreaming that you may be happier in heaven

And although she will never admit it
She still misses you
your smile, your laugh, your crystal blue eyes
she misses it all
but she denies the pain
pretending she is fine
walking through the day as a shadow of who she used to be
trying so hard to be strong
but sometimes even the strong may fall
