Dashing through the snow
in his birthday suit
startled by Santa's Ho Ho Ho!
this dog is no longer cute
He tore off those red robes clean
before shredding them at his feet
but, still feeling rather mean
he chased poor Santa down the street
Now the elves have come in sight
with a giant steak in hand
to save Santa from his plight
and re-dress him where he stands
Back in sleigh on high
delivering gifts to girls and boys
the Grinch goes flying by
swapping coal for all the toys
His night is far from over
for the toys he must renew
so much for the four leaf clover
Santa found floating in his stew
He rounded up the Grinch
and swaddled him in chains
ordered him not to move an inch
until christmas cheer's regained
As morning finally dawns
children open presents with delight
Santa climbs in bed and yawns
thank god it's over, what a night!

Thank you for your entry
This was quite cute. I thought it was going to be a cynical take on the holiday from the title, but this was a cute poem. Nice background as well. Good flow and structure, one suggestion though God is always capitalized. Other than that this was a good poem.
God Bless and Merry Christmas
