thou shalt,
see many things before thou shalt see me,
one's obscuring sight mostly, such as
insurmountable walls, but one's slow blue
veins carry my awareness.
thou shalt,
bow down thyself and serve falsity,
but fret not for this does not frustrate
any true plans.
thou shalt,
exalt countless names and forms, my
brothers and sisters, sons and daughters,
showing mercy to all flowing down many paths.
thou shalt,
cause much misfortune, namely the slow
killing of others, through malice and no
malice, the breakage of oaths and taking no
oaths, grasping and hoarding until rot
sets in, lying for attainment and no attainment
but no worries,
above the walls from your boat, one can see
vivid thriving greenery beyond,
and once there, well once there,
there is only just one thing to do.

A truly astounding, and breathtaking, truthful take on the image! You speak of how life really is, and paint it in the hues of humanity. The prize at the end does not change, simply the view on the way. Wonderful, and as always I am awed.
Blessed be,
Billie Jean

Thank you for your entry into my contest and good luck. This is a very interesting take on the picture that you were given. i do like the poetic voice that you have written in. It is not one that is heard too often anymore. I think that it adds much to your poem.

you have a wonderful quality with your voice which is sorely lacking here- there is a creative energy which drives your writing and sets you
apart- the deliberation of your line breaks here
is startling and interesting-
the ideas worth a second read-
