The End of the World

A leaf fell, and the day went black
Came spiraling down, hit the pavement
With a warm soft crack
And the sun was snuffed out
And the moon fell from her track
And I could see
Nothing

I stepped forward,
In darkness shrouded
The crackle beneath my feet
Told me the leaf
Had never doubted
That it existed;
So had come the thief
For those that fought
And resisted:
For those that thought.

Please tell me what you think

    *blinks* Weird. I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say here. I like it though. It's utterly existential. I love the lines "the crackle beneath my feet/told me the leaf/had never doubted/that it existed". Love love.
