Goodbye To You

Here I am, heartbroken once again,
I was stupid enough to believe your lies.
Thought we would be together forever,
Turns out I'm happier, without you by my side.

Put my life on hold for you,
Jumped to your beckoning calls.
You just kept taking, never giving,
Gave you my everything, it wasn't enough.

You moved on with someone else,
Why am I not able to find happiness?
To much pain, being friends can't possibly work,
How can I move on having to see you two together?

In those three years we spent together,
I loved you harder than I've ever loved before.
I need to mend my broken heart and move on,
Find someone who loves me, imperfections and all.

It's for this reason I'm writing this poem,
I can't have you in my life anymore.
This is how you choose it to be,
This is my closure, my permanent goodbye to you.

    Sad

well my sweet lovable friend I know all too well how this is and wlel maybe this is the hangover spekaing for me after the shit faced holiday yesterday here but moving on in life without your ex is hard but you will find someone else and I know you already have and are afriad tog et hurt but by taking that step to a new life you're on thr road to recovery. I am in thre similiar place myself and basically given up on everything and concentrating on the more important things in life now. any ways hopefully in time you'll ber 100% healed mended heart and you'll be able to move on with your friends with you by yuor side. any ways keep writing and always remember you're never alone.
    Sincerely, Paul
