Like that crush on a schoolgirl
I adore her, my Valentine
A signature of Rose I leave at her door
My heart whispers softly.
Her eyes are aglow
Two hearts that are tender
Afraid not to show
I bow to her beauty
Sigh for her breast
Long for her lips
With one kiss I am blessed
Bestowed on me nightly
Her love and her charms
With visions of heaven
Safe and warm in my arms

I feel the sighs of sweet romance cooing in the background. A helpless romantic you are showing your wonderful emotions in rainbows of colors.

Another peek under your veil of cynicism, eh? Very sweet and romantic Bob! Envisioning heaven? WoW !!! I liked this one...

I THOUGHT THIS HAD A SWEET TASTE OF INNOCENCE...AHHH TO BE YOUNG AND IN LOVE. GOOD LUCK IN THE CONTEST.. YOU ARE ALREADY A WINNER IN MY BOOK..

Nice to see the romantic side of you, Bob. The trouble with us old romantics, though, is that we tend to place love itself on a pedestal--we give love too much importance, always seeking perfection where no such animal exists. Perfection is an illusion, an idealisation of the impossible--if we lower our sights a little, we may have more success. Personally, I'd rather have genuine liking and affection than delusional wishful thinking--romantic love is fine, but what are we left with when the bubble bursts?
Perhaps I'm turning into a cynic in my old age!
Cheers,
Bill

Love
In all my life I have wondered what love is...then suddenly it hit me...It is honesty & trust, with fidelity & faith. Almost impossible to achieve

A dreamers mind is never to be taken lightly.
Yours words-Two hearts that are tender,Afraid not to show--Innocent hearts, just so free,...how life changes us as we age,
and experience life.
Thanks for sharing...Peace ~ Mia Linda

Shame
Is that love seems to be for the very young or old. Inbetween we tend to spend time loking for the pleasures of the flesh.. just my take dear
