Locked deep inside
stuffed between each breath
forced
silence; behind, under, cracked
blank wall of tooth and bone
Bent, folded, creased
shoved in a miniscule
space
pressed suit of feelings
wrinkled from misuse
Skin soft pliant the husk of
love's death, compassion's
abandonment
anger's suicide, jealuosy's
accidental tumble from grace
Author notes
Do you lock it all up or learn to use it?
Two prompts caught my eye and seemed fitting both the photo and the quote "I am packing away my emotional baggage"
They seem well suited to eachother.

Good write and what a way to visualize your emotions. I liked your use of adjectives to describe being packed away. Excellent, thanks for sharing and congrats on the silver.

Jealousy's accidental fumble from grace....
That line is simply fantastic! Jealousy is always accidental, and always ungraceful. You used so many wonderful metaphors in this it is hard to choose the best one, but that line grabbed me! Wonderful entry on two of the prompts!
Blessed be,
Billie Jean
