The lover of the sunrise watches it come
Like the breath of a dragon, golden and bright.
This irridescent fantasy fills me with brio,
So much that I wish to take a flight.
Touching the treetops with tips of yellow,
More saturated than the prettiest daffodil,
Running like a cheetah, a flash of gold,
It seeks the darkness, wishing to kill.
Ebony phantasm, run away with celerity,
Your time has come, your time is done.
The jewel encrusted moon is slowly setting,
While all the sunbeams can do is run.
Like diamonds tossed on a teal satin dress,
The rays hit the ocean and the peaks of waves.
Where I sit on a cliff I have the best vantage point,
Because beautiful sunlight is all that I crave.

This is a fantastic poem. Really great with the imagery. A couple reasons this poem lost a few points was because the only real alliteration was only two words in length, the descriptive writing seemed to focus on the spreading of sun across the horizon more than anything, and left out a multitude of possibilities for fantastic imagery.
That being said, this is a fantastic poem. This poem does meet all criteria technically speaking, and the imagery is pretty awesome. Thanks for your submission. -
Good
This is a poem that flirts with the senses and fills the mind with scents and sounds so familiar and treasured as part of this earth. The poet brings us back to nature once more to reawaken our taste for its purity and wonder. Very well put with easy flow rhythm and impeccable imagery.
