Upon the exit from my destination
Or even the approach of such
Shame beseeches my sight, sore
The careless scattering, white butts
Littered about mulch and fern
Met with windblown flicked ash
Dozens, hundreds, and thousands
A planet abounds with filtered trash
The décor chosen by the thoughtless
An addiction, sickness in gross display
Awareness disregarded, self-involved
We have made Earth a human ashtray.

mmm
this one speaks to me personally. i find smoking to be a very big problem nowadays, in more than one aspect. my father recently passed away from both a lung disease and lung cancer, so i am very against smoking as a whole. great idea for a write, thanks for entering!
