This Girl

And mother, your soul is dressed for her wedding
Mystified women turning into holy water
My coat is hung about a door handle.

I've kissed this girl
Once before time began,
And once before you turned to see us
Listening to her belly
For kicks from her child.

I meant to dive into the river,
But my hands fell
Turned into puddles
And she was lonesome on the rooftops
So I went to her
And we opened our mouths
The windows became eyes watching the sky.

And mother,
Your stomach exploded,
Millions of beautiful winged butterflies floated to me
Grasping onto my skin and carrying me away
Over to the cemetary, and dropped me on her grave.
And I danced.
And I prayed.
And I woke up, crying.

Please tell me what you think
