Clouded over, I cant see the moon
And so I sit on the porch and wait
The air is icy, and my hands are shaking
But I keep on waiting
My nose starts to run, and my eyes water
And my teeth chatter
But I keep waiting
Because once that cloud moves
Then it'll be worth it
That moon, full and round
Hangs low in the belly of the sky
And I smile and bask in its cool light
Because I know, somewhere
You're looking at that same exact moon
And maybe not thinking of me
But I still take comfort in the simple fact
That we share that same moon
