I see crimson, I see black
Switching on a cold warning façade
You still approach without fear

Grieving for the brother he lost

When my once rational mind
Loses to the pain-filled ache
Settled deep within my heart and soul
It’s best if you leave me be
Before I fully succumb
To the dark pits of fury, pain, and revenge
Never to surface
As I spun wildly in the vertex of this whirlpool
Until the very essence of myself
Disappear
I took one last glance at the world
That my once free spirited, lively being
Could no longer stand to bear.
