When I say hello in the morning
-Coffee in hand,
Dressed with plans,
While you, in your boxers, are yawning
And I love the sound of you.
Deep- the sound of your laugh
-full, over something silly I’ll do
You tease me and grin
As I raise my chin
Your infectious laugh pulling me into you
And I love the sound of you.
Low- the sound you make
As I wrap my legs around your waist
-your shoulder I taste
As I burrow my face
An eternity I’d stay pressed against you this way
And I love the sound of you.
Booming- the sound you make
Hanging out with the boys for the day
-rowdy and loud
hearty and proud
men –you’re all just little kids going out to play
And I love the sound of you.
Raw- the sound you make
As you experience loss you’ll never forget
-you lose signs of life
shout out in your strife
And still I refuse to love you wholly any less
And I love the sound of you.
Boyish- the sound you make
When you’re sleepy, pulling me to bed
-You make faces and yawn
mumble as a response
Throw me over your shoulder and carry me instead
And I love the sound of you.
Soft- the sound of you
Chuckling while I hug you and hear
-the rumbling in your chest
-your whispers they caress
and form symphonies of loving words in my ear
And I miss the sound of you.
I miss the sound of you.
Author notes
My boyfriend and I have been on and off for years- always bestfriends, many times lovers- at a certain time, we were seperated for a year(he moved half a country away)-and it was so hard being away from the person you want most to be with- my heart goes out to any of you, in a similiar situation - it is not an experience I'd wish on anyone.
I think the best we can do is to communicate with them in all the ways we can, and keep all the happy memories bright and clear in our minds so that they may overshadow all the dark and lonely ones, and give us faith and strength.
My boyfriend and I would always plan out what we would do when we finally saw each other again- and we'd plan out futures- and when we'd plan, it didn't seem so impossible to wait- it felt completely worthwhile. And when we were reunited & together again, I was so glad I didn't let all the doubt and worry and emptiness get to me- STAY STRONG.
Missing someone is inevitable- just keep thinking of the happiness as much as you can and call them if youre afraid of fading.

"Deep- the sound of your laugh
-full, over something silly I’ll do
You tease me and grin
As I raise my chin
Your infectious laugh pulling me into you"

I love these lines. who else can know the fear, the pain of being apart from a person that you consider the most important one in your life? I can relate these lines because I do miss someone still. your waiting ceremony has reached to its end and now you're getting the touches, smiles, dependence from him . But I have to paying each and every moment still. I am just counting my days.
My Best wishes is always with you, honey and show my respect to your loved one.

You keep this real and mellow...
Rhyme and flow to follow a repetition that instills
a small part of what makes a person special. Blue -
you've done a good job of expression here, I loved the repition of " And I love the sound of you. " Because as of right now that is all I have of my love. I see her every once and awhile, but 200 of a mile is a long distance at this age. I also liked your rhyme scheme it kept me in flow and drew me in. You used nice imagery as my heart and mind went back to memories that I hold close and dear to my heart. Great job my friend.

You expressed your love with such a beautifully simple feeling. It truly is the little things like the sound of a sigh or the crinkle of his eyes when he smiles that stay with you when you are apart...believe me, I know this feeling so well. My best wishes to you for this contest.

This is wonderful, My relationship is stretched between a state not a country but any distance is so hard to deal with. This made me go back and think of all the little sounds my boyfriend ,Joseph, makes when he's here and it actually brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face. Thank you.
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much for your comment- and I agree- when someone means alot to you- any sortof distance- be it county, country or state- is hard- none of them are close enough, and all of them feel worlds away. I sincerely hope you and Joseph can see each other again soon- good luck and take care!!
