Moments In Truth

While lying still
I hear a lullaby
Christianizing my name
as my parents hold me close
is a comforting thing

I love it while they cradle me
and I am adored by all around
such a pleasant time in life
a whole 12 months to be a baby.

Then we all have to grow up
and do our thing, But it is wonderful
to just be a baby. Oh well got
to grow and be a rock star now.

Have to buy those jewels and hat
and crazy blue jeans that only
fit to my butt, not my navel.
Watch out girls, here I come.

    Excellent

I thought this was quite well written and I enjoyed the images that this poem brought to mind.

I like how your thought go and flow from line to line, making picture more and more interesting. The last line is perfect!
Somehow this poem makes me to smile thinking of babies with pampers, (listening lullabies) waiting for somebody to change them, lol...
Best wishes dear friend and sing!

"(is) a comforting" to (it's), This jerks at our funny bone in innocent fun. The imagery and story line presented is humorous and strikes a cord of mischief that we can relate to in our collective memories and hearts. The imagery is good and the reader can chuckle at the commonality of the experience.
