a triolet
A smile is a meaningful gift,
even though it costs no money;
a moment gives a lift,
a smile is a meaningful gift.
A grin that passes swift
is not for that less sunny.
A smile is a meaningful gift,
even though it costs no money.

Dreamy
what beauty in these lines, echoed in the picture!
The three geese appear as a smily face in the sky,
and echoes in the lines " a smile is a meaningful gift"
I like this much, such a natural scene for Lyndon to enjoy!

Much time is spent in misery
With little cause that I can see
The world contains abundant grace
To bring a smile to every face

I love this! The structure, the perfect repeating lines and then in your author notes I see it's a dedication. What a wonderful gift.

What a lovely poem this is. I am sure Lyndon likes this very much. It made me smile and also seeing that great picture with the smile formed by birds. Very well done. Anna.
