Graciously smiling in my eyes
In desperate need of her treasures
Blessed her with them all
Eyes like moon beams peering at me
Hair of sunlight golden curl
Lips as cherries sweetest yet
Taste of heaven on my lips
Oxen tow but I won't go

a stunning piece... sensual and yet almost loving as well. reminds me of how my husband used to look at me before he went to jail... after seeing him in there i doubt he will ever look at me like that again... now he just looks haunted. i actually recently wrote a piece for him called 'broken man'. so thank you for the memories of better times and truly a beautiful poem
