Bread

the curve of his hip
warm against your belly
as a slice of moon

silver tongues of love
flicker between us

about to become bread
flavored with the salt
of long before
leavened with the yeast
of forever dreams

Bread

Loved this poem and the metaphor was excellent. Reminded me of a poem I've written about bread and yeast and if I remember correctly my poem began with "of all the breads my hands have eaten I prefer the white creation of your skin" (that was a while ago... but I still remember the bread, the yeast..). Beautifully written, crisstiena.

Its like every single word is right where it should be.I wouldent change a thing. this is why i love free verse, when it flows it flows better than any rhyme.

    Good

The passion and emotions are alive in this piece and confront the reader with their frankness and beauty. This is a beautiful taunting, tempting poem that offers sexual tidbits to entertain the senses and feed the libido.
