Forever and Ever

Sweetheart, we`ve had some good times
and a few times that were sad
Fortunately the better times
truly overrule the bad
The road has not always
been smooth that`s true
But I`ve always shown
my undying love for you
First time we met
I was head over heels
Thought, I`d like more of this
if thats how love feels
Nervously I plucked up the courage
to ask you on a date
That first night we fell in love
it must have been fate
Thirteen years later
I still think of you night and day
I`ll love you forever
and vice versa, I pray
Most people, may not know love
like us that is true
We are so lucky to be
some of the chosen few
I am addicted and
fascinated with the taste
Love is too precious
too good to waste
Sweetheart, I want to tell you
with absolute certainty
I love you now darling
and I will to eternity
Eternity is a long time
but you don`t need to be clever
What I am saying sweetheart
is I will love you forever
