There are some things that cannot be replaced
Their loss so awful it just leaves us broken
Where life in our eyes ends to us shattered and amazed
Wondering whether it could be the wrong route taken
Sometimes all it takes to be free is one word
Yet sometimes that's what keeps us caged in
Tearful eyes cause our world to become blurred
Showing a smile yet scarred deeply within
And they couldn't tell we're dying
Hiding in a shell too far away
And they never see us crying
Becoming more lonely day by day
We stride ahead to leap two years back
Still clinging to the past the only real thing we ever had
Trying to believe but the future seems black
Why are we pretending when it hurts so bad
Sometimes the things we can't hold are what we need
Confused whether to reach out though in vain
It never gets better yet we continue to bleed
We know that the truth just adds to the pain
Because they could never tell we're dying
They never took time to look inside
As we never show we're crying
So much feelings that we're forced to hide
There are some things that cannot be replaced
Yet we try to look to a brighter side of life
Going over every path that we've once traced
Accepting the way we live and putting down the knife.
