Her shadow flickers upon the dusty floor
Form faintly illuminated by silver strains of moon
Arms stretch, bare torso swaying
Sleek and flexible as a serpent
Eyes unblinking, face unmoving
Her bare feet calloused and dirty
Clad only in goosebumps and a flimsy sash
She dances, and he watches
With smirking eyes and sneering lip
Her movements full of grace, but absent of joy
