Once bubbles breathing
now suffocated in
this aging amber vault.
Prehistoric air sealed
for all time,
and even better,
woven between these
oxygenated pearls,
are the pirouetting petals,
of some long forgotten flower.
Perfectly preserved,
in all of its splendor.
What tragedy made these
relics part of this resin nation,
trapped forever in resignation?
Mummified in death and now
hanging suspended
on a fine gold chain,
in the hollow of a neck
on a modern day girl...
History buff I'm not,
but I'm grateful
for the mammary's,
this amber curio graced.

Artis, you've painted the picture this minds eye can relate."...I'm grateful for the mammary's, this amber curio graced." Contest or nay, I like this one.

The combination of the three prompts magnificent! I like the brittleness yet sensitivity in this piece. Well done.
Thanks for sharing and keep writing.

Bravo, I personally think you've nailed 1,2 and 3 quite eloquently. Wonderfully soft and vivid.
