Shattered crystals shimmer in the sunlight
Each flaw beautiful in its own way
Imperfections making stones unique
Creating wondrous gems and displays
Glorious colors of rainbows
lift precious lips in a smile
as fairy tale magic leaves
a gleam in children’s eyes
Kittens and butterflies
Leave warmth in our hearts
as freshly baked cookies
melt delectably in each bite
When skies are grey and dampen moods
Find a place where light breaks through
Where there are shadows, light is found
There is always hope, it’s all around

definitely a hope-filled write.... how can it NOT be with kittens, butterflies and freshly baked cookies!
the first stanza was really nice because i remember my great grandma's little crystal droplet that she used to have hung in her window. when the sun shone through that window, it left little rainbows dancing on the wall throughout the room... i can't help smiling when i think of that.
thanks for sharing hope with all who read this.
