Two Birds of a Feather

Fly away together.
Two birds of a feather.
We'll never have a chance again.

What beautiful weather.
It' won't last forever.
Let's take this opportunity.

Off to the sunset.
The sun and moon met.
How could we waste such beauty.

We'll never forget.
We'll never regret.
We have our chance to be free.

The sun falling down.
Quickly, let us all fly away.
Look around.
Finally, it's our day

Fly away together.
Two birds of a feather.
We'll never have a chance again.

What beautiful weather.
It' won't last forever.
Let's take this opportunity.

Feel what's right.
The wind in my hair.
We take flight.
The sun will be there.

I can't see.
Where has the light gone.
This can't be.
How can we all go on.
We wait and we plea.
Then came the dawn.

Feel what's right.
The wind in my hair.
We take flight.
The sun will be there.

Fly away together.
Two birds of a feather.
We'll never have a chance again.

What beautiful weather.
It' won't last forever.
Let's take this opportunity.

Author notes

I just hope you can find the rhythm I had in my mind writing this. On the four-lined and up parts, the 1st and 3rd(and 5th) lines are extended when said(example:Theee suuuuuun faalling doooooown)

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

I really liked the repeat of the first two stanzas. It created a beautiful structure to the poem. It was really good how you described the opportunity as, "What beautiful weather/It won't last forever". Beautiful weather never does last, so it was a great way to explain the need to take the chance while it exists. You really captured the feeling of running with an opportunity before it is gone. Good job!
