& she wants to chew up the pearls around her neck
[dial the numbers repeating in a lackadaisical pattern]
twist the world inside a wheel of fire
& dive into a bowl of least resistance
cascade the stage lights on the picture of a girl
[the words that leave her mouth
echo inside shadows, so delicate, so feeble
that she may lose the pink on her lips]
etch-a-sketch thoughts growing a little more clear
& drunk dialing romances heating up the mind
[the buttons are looking pretty friendly
oh, but which numbers should a girl choose?
5,6,7,8..]
someone please capture her mind
& sell it on Ebay.
[she'll go half price]

I'll be much happier if I was somewhere else.
