There she is, my baby girl,
her long legs begin to uncurl.
Stretching her body she grins,
as our wonderful day begins.
Starting with our ritual,
thats become habitual.
Rubbage here, rubbage there,
rubbage, rubbage everywhere.
A quick wash of the face,
as we have another embrace.
Time to stop the baby talk,
we need to take you for a walk!

Definition of rubbage : (n.) An act of vigorously rubbing a dog's belly while speaking to the dog in baby-talk.
I tend to spend a lot of time in rubbage with my baby.

Well, at first I thought it was the sort of rubbage which means "crap" or something, but then the poem wasn't really about it
As I've said to other contestants: what I meant to do wasn't actually to ask you to write a poem about a word, but just put the definition of the word where you would normally put the poem.
But I'm really starting to like the whole 'write a poem defining your favourite word'-thing, so I think I'm gonna put this in the finalists list
