What I Saw from the Other Side of the Door

That grave old king, oh, Lord, how he sings
at every new dawn and the joy that it brings,
that grave old king, how he sings, how he sings,
of the birds and the sky, such marvellous things.

That wise old man, oh, Child, how he lives
his life full of peace and the peace that he gives,
that wise old man, how he lives, how he lives,
every fault brought upon him he always forgives.

That glorious crown, oh, Love, how it shines,
with intricate carvings, jewelléd designs,
that glorious crown, how it shines, how it shines,
it now lays abandoned, all for my fines!

That spirit of love, oh, World, how it rains
from the sky up above and breaks up the chains,
that spirit of love, how it rains, how it rains,
sets free the imprisoned and all those in pain.

Eternity now, oh, my, what a peace,
that wars should end and sorrows should cease!
Eternity now, what a peace, what a peace,
my crimes are removed; O, let this increase!

Crecendo of peace, oh, Lord, bring it nigh,
let it fall on my soul as it rains from the sky,
crescendo of peace, bring it nigh, bring it nigh,
and the souls of the broken never shall die.

I like the redundancy of thought. Some people might not appreciate this, but I do. It not only punctuates points in the narrative, but brings the reader's focus to bear.

This one struck me as showing the good sides of the world...am I right or did I just get confused along the way? Even if I did, I still liked it, lol
