I try to find myself
in the faces of those around me
To see if I’ve meant
anything to those I call friends
While I hold you in my arms
as you cry about your loss
I rub your back and swallow
my own, ready to be your rock
I shift my feet when there
isn’t any progress
and I lend my voice in times
of crisis
I pull you out of your nightmares
and throw you into new hopes
I’d walk beside you at Ren Faires
hoping you’ll show me the ropes
I throw caution to the wind
in order to be there when you call
whether you just need me sitting
next to you
or need my arms at ready as
you fall
Friendship is golden
and I am a sentinel
I march this life through
rain and storms
My life means nothing
if I haven’t touched yours
All I have is my devotion
to some precious few
and Mervy-poo….
At the top of my list
Rests you

I wrote this for my Friend... outryder
Sometimes your life seems to have lost all meaning.. but if you remember those few who would do anything for you... then it'll hold meaning again...
