So many people
try to be something they're not.
Changing their looks
to impress those around them.
But I don't do that.
I am who I am,
and no one else.
I like who I am,
and don't care what others think.
So many people
try to hide their true feelings
forcing themselves to laugh and cry
when they don't really want to.
But I don't do that.
I am who I am,
and no one else.
I like who I am,
and don't care what others think.
So many people
jump on board the band wagon
using movies and shows, music and clothes
just because everyone else does.
But I don't do that.
I am who I am,
and no one else.
I like who I am,
and don't care what others think.
So many people
think they have to be cool
have to get along
and go with the crowd.
But that's just not true.
There is so much more to life
than what you wear
or what you like.
Be who you are,
and no one else.
Like who you are
and stop caring what others think.
Please tell me what you think

I love the title of this piece and I love the message even more. It's wonderful to see someone that just wants to be themself. Good job with this dear.

I dug this one much more. The reoccuring motif "But I don't do that" was interesting and it got to a point it seems everyone can relate to, especially me. Good Write.

Not a bad effort. I think the repeating chorus could use a bit less repetition, by perhaps consolidating the verses. The idea behind this is maybe unrealistic; we all have masques we wear fro different purposes, and when dealing with different people.
As for caring what others think, that is what moulds us into well rounded people; unless the opinions are harmful.
Over all, simplistic, but effective.
Thank you for sharing.
