Voices fade into the wind
As the distance grows
But they will linger and grow stronger
Because their goodbyes are never forever
This is the place
Where a child's embrace
Is greeted with a loving face
A mother's tears are not meaningless
For their goodbyes are never forever
What they have come to know
Will never be so unrighteously taken
Their world never shaken
From the axis that has proven its worth
And I wonder what I must have done wrong
Surely I deserve this love, too?
My goodbyes never fade, they only persist
Causing isolation to exist
I start to resent this life
I want this love, too
I want someplace to come back to
I want you to go crazy as I say "I love you"
Not knowing when I'll say it in the flesh again
I want the tears to trickle down your face
As you tell me you've missed me
How the house is never quite the same
Without my presence and then you'll kiss me
On my cheek and this moment can never be replaced
