star wars fanatic (acrostic)

S  mart, tall and beautiful.  You think this write done?
This is only the "S" and we've barely begun.
T  ravel so tempting, she is bound to go far,
There is so much to see, she'll need more than a car!
A  cting her passion, she thrills to the stage.
In Hollywood someday, you'll find her front page.
R  iches she hopes for, to be able to do good.
Help those who face challenges, get the schooling they should.

W  riting comes natural, ink in the blood.
Words leave the pen, and the pages they flood.
A  nimals have her attention, each she'd like to help,
A heart that's so caring, causes obstacles to melt.
R  eligions' important, when it is done right,
Faced with hypocricy, she'll put up a fight.
S  tar wars fanatic, she sees in the force,
Power of good, to thwart evil of course.

F  riend to so many, she'll make time for you,
You'll not want to stop talking, even with much to do.
A  ctivity suits her, not one to sit still
Loves to go swimming, a great way to 'chill'.
N  ew ideas, new thoughts, she loves to embrace,
Puts them to paper, so they'll not go to waste.
A  ccepting of others, she made them a home,
Started groups at AP, so they'll not be alone.
T  reasures she finds, in the words of the great,
Shakespeare and Poe, she pronounces 'first rate'.
I  n one year she's done much, some we see on AP
Such a clear vision, of who she wants to be.
C  hallenges she'll face without blinking an eye,
She trusts Heavenly Father, He is her ally.

Thank you Ellis. Appreciate the 'heads up' on the typo also. Sometimes they just sit there undiscovered and I would like this poem for star wars fanatic to be as good as it can be. Jadon

    Beam me Up!!

"He is life, but not as we know it" I think you have reached "warp factor five" with this tribute to your AP friend, an "enterprise-ing" write, taking us where no poet has gone before. WASP.

      Wasp is a Trekkie!!!

You surprise me my friend, I had no idea we shared yet another interest. I am prompted to start writing again just so I can read your comments as I am always 'tickled pink' (definitely an alien life form ! ) to read what your nimble mind produces.
"LIVE LONG AND PROSPER" Thanks Jadon

    Dearest Uncle Jadon

A beautiful tribute. I thought I was reading about my eldest daughter at first, describes her well. Kudos on a great write. As always your poetry excels.

    With love,

      My little sister!

Thank you my sister. If this acrostic reminds you of your eldest daughter perhaps you should try one for her. A great way to get to know about a person. Your daughter might enjoy your poetic observations. So good to see you. Jadon

    Great feeling from verse

I loved the feeling in your poem - wish it had a bit more editing (Word spelling for ex.) Again, don't mean as a critique - I truly did love the poem! db

      You are welcome!

Okay, now I am relieved. I was afraid I got something wrong in there. It was fun to do and as I was telling superstition, my second one I have tried. I had 'good material' to work with though eh?

Just glad you liked it well enough as I really don't know you quite as well as my poem does. Congrats on that first year! Jadon

Aww, I always really enjoy tribute poetry of this sort, and since you're not one to write acrostics very often, it was nice to see you try the style for yourself. You did a really nice job with it, too! You're making me want to write another one of these myself. You're so good at presenting your AP niece to someone who's never spoken with her before, so now I'm sure that whomever will read this will feel as if they know her themselves, myself included. Great write, my friend, as always.

My second. First one was for Frogzter. It is a lot of fun though. I'm not sure I have read an acrostic you have done before. Sure after I walk away I will end up smacking my forehead and saying "Of course...!"
I remember looking at a book which had some double acrostics in it and thinking that might be great fun. Who knows!
Anyway thank you for all the nice things you had to say. You are a friend who is always there with a good word. Jadon

Hey, now that is a different look. You'll have to tell me the story . I am reminded of Edward Scissorhands . Looks like some giant shears in the foreground.
Thanking you for stopping by and your comment my friend. Jadon

    A star filled ...

tribute ... where the sense of the poet is easily recognized by your poetical words that acrostically share her attributes. A keeper by her for sure! joy

      Love the 'bright' comment!

Thank you so much PhantomAngel87 for your comment. I write more for the friend than for the contest. star wars fanatic is a remarkable young woman and a pleasure to know. She wrote one of my favourite poems on AP also in her early days.
Loved your colourful comment, Thanks for stopping by. Jadon
