If vehicles ran on love
This tank would be empty
The cost of a dream that takes you away
Is just a tad bit more then you’ll wanna pay
They make it look appetizing in the marketing
It moves down your throat so smooth
But the after taste makes the price seem like a waste
Money I could have put away for that perfect day
To load my car with gas and just runaway
No matter how much you grow
You’ll always know
A trimming can take place
Making you look less over grown and outta shape
If my pride and self-confidence gets to big
Buy a one way plane ticket that will help me shed
All of this I’ve freshly built
Laid the bricks of originality
On top of each other to make a foundation that can not shake
But will instead fall all at once
Upon the impact that a flying jet tends to make
No matter how much you grow
You’ll always know
A trimming can take place
Making you look less over grown and outta shape
If bullets were words
I’d have enough to start a small war
But I can’t use correct spelling
And at times I tend to slur
So I guess no matter how much you grow
You’ll always be known
As something that had grown
Into a person of his own
Only to be told it’s been done before
And you should just come home
Please tell me what you think

Traveling when you wrote this?
A sort of one moment you're big and sucessful, the next youre not type thing, right?
I'd bet you'd win your war, too.
But anyway, this is all too true.
