I don't think you realize how much you mean to me
so I'm writing these words in the hopes that maybe you'll see
I just want you to know I care
and I will always be there
you are in my heart and that's where you will forever remain
I do my best to shield you from all the pain and the rain

I'll do what ever it takes to keep you safe from life and from your own destructive way
I don't know how else to put into words what I want to say
and I really need you to know
is you're the only thing that sets my smile aglow
so I guess the only thing left unsaid is I love you
