Listen then late at night
For the soft whisper wings
Of a lonely fairy lost
Hear her soft voice sing
Moonlight dances in her hair
Moving soft up on the breeze
Searching for the guiding light
To guide her to her home
Deep within a forest glen
A hidden castle built of stone
Magic moves within her heart
Starlight dances in her eyes
See the morning sparkling dew
Tis tears that she has cried
So say a prayer to your gods
To send the beacon light
May she find her home again
Not lost for another night

Thank you for entering my contest.
This is a bit of a new perspective...seeing them more innocent and vulnerable then they are generally depicted, which is nice.
There was some good imagery, but it seemed a bit simplistic, which is fine, though almost contradictory, imho.
