I'm still dealing with the pain
My mind wonders why.
You stomped all over my heart
You ate up my soul
You made that hole that was already
there get bigger.
I find myself thinking about
all the fun times we had & shit,
Just to get pissed when
I think about all the wrong you did.
I try every day to get over you
but my heart is not through
You make it even harder when I see you
some days
I start fussin and cussin to
myself and ask
What am I angry for
You lost this shit
I was the woman that
held you down
I was the woman that
was there for you.
I also was the one and only
person that gave a damn.
Yea, my ass was the one who
was there when no one in
your family didn't even care.
All the late nights out,
the bitch phone calls,
the lies you made up,
the chances you fucked up,
I gave it my all.
My all to you, your mind,
and your soul.
You just tore it all
the fuck up.
Now you just stare
Probably wondering the same
damn thing,
Are we over each other
Why do we look like we'er
in so much damn pain?
We should've got over each
other a long time ago.

you are a very deep soul and I just love reading your poetry. Srry to say that I had a very similar situation with my ex. We've been broken up for 3 1/2 years now and we are still not over each other.

I love it...it happens all the time..you give the person your all..and they throw it all away for someone who can give a shit less..i think one reason this happens is because the person is scared to love and get hurt so they turn it around on you and hurt you...hmm..sounds a little like what i'm going through right now...great job though... and definitaly keep writing

This is so true. I still feel this way about my first love. I still think about him and what could have been, but he messed it up and lost me to someone else. You will move on and find someone else and then he'll want you back, but it will be too late. That's usually the way it goes. I can relate to a lot of your pieces. Great write. - cgirl0410
