I'm sorry if I kind of mixed the themes of war and environmentalism, I could have cut out the environmentalism but I just couldn't do it! I'm too much of a greeny not to pick at the big pollutor.

Of course, SUVs are not purely a nasty toy for selfish Americans. We in Britain have a few hundred thousand swine who drive these monsters. Sometimes they are called "Chelsea tractors" (if driven by wealthy upper class slobs in inner London).

True but doesn't London at least have really restrictive parking prices and inner city taxes? Or was that some other city my lecturer was talking about?

Central London has a £9 a day toll for driving through it and also parking meter charges are up to £8 an hour. These are nowhere near high enough. I would like to see them doubled or tripled. Having to pay £20 an hour to park would teach those arseholes a lesson. I would also like to see staggering parking charges imposed on all cities and drivers of SUVs publicly crucified.

Man I wish parking cost that much here, my country has like no idea! It is pathetic! The government just released its climate change policy, not even targeting the farmers (source of 50% of our emmission) until after kyoto, man I hate that policy. (I'm a New Zealander by the way)
