The Song About Kayla

I wonder if we'll find each other at the 100th story of the cylinder
And play through the glass walls.
'Kayla's laugh is so distinctive.'

In my eyes sHe was like superman.

Finally I said my goodbyes
And walked  away,
So much the better for it.

She really could fly.

I knew because I saw everything;
The sunsong spilled into the hood of her jacket, No, wait,
Her sunbrown hair flew like a song...

Then Hero was just in a strong rangy gray t-shirt
And big brown eyes.
And I envieD her so much.

I don't know what the song meant
But in the end the notes were softly saying
'She was my rock,
She was my safety.'

The poem was hard to read because of the font color. Thanks for entering anyways.

I found this a lovely dedication to your teammate, Kayla..

However, I couldn't quite understand what you meant in some parts.. A little too confusing for me.

The last two lines were really the nicest (:

    "'She was my rock,
    She was my safety.'"

    Thanks for entering

I'm not sure I understand a lot of this, but I found the words themselves very hopeful in the end. I must say though, that the font and background were impossible for me to read without highlighting...Many contest hosts won't even bother reading if the font is that difficult...I do go ahead and highlight, but it's something you may want to consider changing, especially if you enter this in any other contests down the road.

Very interesting imagery. I'm not sure the reason for capping the odd letter here and there; it was a bit distracting. Very nice ending though, and I did enjoy reading this.

Thanks so much for your entry, and good luck in the contest.

    Best wishes,
    ~J.
