To the sun; I’d march with heavy heart into its very core,
Memories flood brain competence; I always come back for more
If I asked you, in integrity, to help me rephrase our last page,
To somehow disregard the memories, and readily erase
… Our history. The times, the places, the countless dates,
With dried roses hanging like bodies from trees;
You’re the only girl, who’s ever had the nerve to bring me to my knees,
Who’s every came back to pressure, to talk, to remind me of this calamity;
The mess I am, and the mess I’ve made
Tell me- why did I even try to fucking stay?
To be there when you left, to be there when you turned your back,
Showing me the knife within your spine I’d stabbed.
Tell me, oh heart, why you chose to breathe
For someone who had the power to completely annihilate me?
I never knew you till you’d left me with this crying disease,
This incomprehensible urge to walk the long miles to your house,
To knock on your window and help you climb down;
To lie in dew filled grass and let the many hours pass
Till dawn,
Just so I could see how the sunlight hit’s your hair.
They say every man has a _____,
But honestly; you bring out the poet in me.

My sigh;
[the day the sky cried
was the day you threw our love away]
Her Reply.
(I think the rain that came down that day,
could easily wash memories away;
As it did my perseverance.
But, looks like I'm here to stay.)

As if the title didn't lure me more than you wanted it to. Heh.
I think the rain that came down that day, could easily wash memories away;
As it did my perseverance.
But, looks like I'm here to stay.

Well, her loss was my gain. Seriously.
This is a very strong write and I like how you let the reader choose the word that would fill in the blank. Nicely done.
Keep up the good work babe.
Love always,
Kristen ♥
