Looks…takes a seat...
“I need to talk to you”...
The sorrys, the memories
A bittersweet lagoon
I just can’t find the words
To say I’m sorry
To find some grace to just explain
To say I have to let you go
To say I have to let you go
To say I wished we never changed
We have wasted so much time covering up these cracks
When loves a ticking bomb, a one man heart attack
We're so far from reality we've lost our sense in time
Pissing life away with our good old friend denial
How can you ignore the problems knocking at our door?
When there’s no time left to try, barely time to pause
STOP- please, just let go of my hand!
Stop saying we’ll work it out when we both know that we can’t
Don’t cry- life’s never fair and just
It’s killing me too to watch the world collapse on us
We meet like science through some crazy randomness
And while that chemistry still works we can have our happiness
But we have different life’s now; both in a different place
I cant bare to that desperation written on your face
Looks…takes a seat...
“I need to talk to you”...
The sorrys, the memories
A bittersweet lagoon
I just can’t find the words
To say I’m sorry
To find some grace to just explain
To say I have to let you go
To say I have to let you go
To say I wished we never changed
I mean it, baby, this day was never planned
Steady head, steady voice…just look down at my hands
I’m as terrified as you- how ill live without you I just don’t know?
I just want to make you happy the only ways to let you go
I see in your face that you hate me; I forgive you for all your words
I do love you; you don’t just know how much this hurts
I never wanted to hurt you, I had little premonition
I can’t change the rules of love
Love lives by definition
Looks…takes a seat...
“I need to talk to you”...
The sorrys, the memories
A bittersweet lagoon
I just can’t find the words
To say I’m sorry
To find some grace to just explain
To say I have to let you go
To say I have to let you go
To say I wished we never changed
Starlight- the perfect company tonight
In this darkness, in this haze, it’s the only thing that I know right
A spectacle of nature-one last memory of bliss
But the coming of an end, for a love so quickly missed
As stars dim, they take oath to never die
While they keep their promise baby I will still be here at your side
I’m so sorry
So sorry to say goodbye
Looks…takes a seat...
“I need to talk to you”...
The sorrys, the memories
A bittersweet lagoon
I just can’t find the words
To say I’m sorry
To find some grace to just explain
To say I have to let you go
To say I have to let you go
To say I wished we never changed
“I need to talk to you”...

Author notes
I started writing this yesterday and finished it today after breaking up with someone I was still in love with, I could not find the words to let them go and tried to write to help me. Script seems so unpersonal but when you have to let love go when you still love the person its the only way to get through it. I hope this is what you were looking for?
