Is it really up to us,
To say what is wrong or right?
Is it fair to hold it against those,
Who have died for your right to say,
I hate this war,
To hold up your signs and protest,
If it weren't for the men,
The women,
And the young 18 year olds,
Who gave their lives for our country,
You wouldn't be able to speak out,
So I say this for the veteran,
For the soldier,
The marine,
The sailor,
And the rest of those who defend our country,
It is someone's son who died for your freedom,
It is someone's father who fights for you every day,
It is someone's husband who is away for many months,
It is the family of those who fight,
It is a child whose dad has not held him yet,
It is someone's love who has given the strength to go on.

Thank you very much!!!! My fiancee is a soldier. Plus i have an ex-bf in iraq whome was my best friend for years so it's rough.
