Thick frost

Thick frost
clings to rooftops
while black feline observes
graceless mouse tinkering with trash
filled with dainty delights and old preserves
that a plump maidservant prepared
as mouse nibbles, cat nears
crimson blood sprays
Thick frost

Author notes

This was rather gross, but I think the flow and wording was really good, though. I think you have a very descriptive side to you and that's a very good thing, Jenny.

Keep up the great work, Jenny. I look forward to many more of your poems and future stuff. So far, you are really good and you just seem to improve to me.
