    Dear poet

    with the dear, sweet poem, you have written incisively but you did not notice this in the notes of this contest:
    " Please write between 12 and 24 lines, inclusive."
    I could weep for you in your oversight.

      Thank you, Ron, for your comment. When I entered, I had not heard back from you, and the notation (top right-hand column) applied by the site says 12 lines...When I got your note (thank you!) I had the opportunity to change, and did not take it.

      You had said that an entry allowed for working at critiqueing, so I chose to make that my focus. I will better understand and be more careful next time.

    Your poem reminds me of what we do to feel safe "naked and unshelled". If we have faith and remember, that is fine! Nature is a trove of imagery, interesting poem.
