The fairy stories old in lore,
so far away from truth.
The sprites and spooks,
with little quirks,
could never be a truth.
Fact and fear shall rule this song,
for truth becomes the sprites,
the little demons
(for that they are)
are blood-lust full and thrive.
One child fair and innocent,
went wandering though the woods
and came across a fairy ring,
that was meant to be pure and good.
The creature that live therein,
was not as how she'd hope,
for foolish thoughts and daydreams,
had grabbed her like a rope.
She spied the fairy,
two foot tall and siting on a stone,
its lidless eyes like darkest night
and wings like lava flows.
The child had seen enough to know,
that truth was far from mind,
she turned her back and started off,
in an attempt to leave that shrine.
Alas the fairy
dark is soul,
no compassion for the weak,
gained its meals, and blood for weeks,
in a fell and evil sweep.
I shall not tell what happens,
to ones who wander deep,
but be sure to never stray,
into the cursed trees.
and always be wary of the demon sprites
that inhabit fairy rings.

Okay I loved this poem-I hope you don't mind but these two places caught me so I kinda tweaked it...
First part cos it reads easier(in my opinion only of-course)-and the second cos I think its such a bold statement it should be maybe punchier-I don't like to suggest changes (unless asked specifically) But I liked this so much I couldn't help it. Interesting and dark and pacy. Cool.
