Inspired by -Taking back sunday , make damn sure
We're lying in the gutter,
whisper to me lover,
and tell me there's no other
who would ever even bother
to hold me while I'm crying,
or kiss me while I'm dying,
or believe me when I'm lying,
or trust me that I'm trying.
An Angel told me "whisper!
your screams won't make it better
you only make it harder,
and you don't really matter"
Hold me when I'm sleeping,
keep away the dark.
Don't let the devils get me,
don't let them leave their mark.
Don't let him come and find me,
don't let him get away.
Tell me that it's alright
and it's ok to be afraid.
There's times that I can't take it.
I can't face it anymore.
And it's way too hard to fake it
when they find me on the bathroom floor.
And everybody's talking,
but no one says a word.
And Everybody's thinking it,
but that thought is never heard.
I went and asked my Angel
"what will happen when I die?"
My Angel says he'll give me back my wings so I can fly.
I'd sell my soul to the devil
if I thought my Angel lied,
but the devil never held me
like my angel when I cried.
