The Dark Shadows

Have you ever
felt the shadows descending
like fall leaves
coloured;
turning to brown
like wizened corpses,
frozen
on death's gurney,
mind slammed shut
behind barriers
of steel,
locked within
motionless abyss,
yet craving
zephyr's of death
to lay feathered fingers
across your soul
bestowing final release?

    Thank you for adding the word count at the bottom, it is not a big things but it helps with the judging . That said I really liked this, your descriptions and word usage were wonderful while the lay out worked well and still being easy to read Thanks again.
