She sails throughout the ocean blue every night
Violin in hand and song on her tongue
She plays for hours on end serenading the sea
Assuring sailors and their friends a safe passage home
Her wrists are chain locked to the ocean tower
Her destiny is to remain and soothe the storms
She calms the winds with every stroke of her bow
Her violin sets the mood of tranquility and ease
Her friendly raven sits at her side for company
As she magically turns the ocean over to its tender side

What I really like about poetry is when the author's manages to capture some nice imagery within the words - and that's exactly what you've done here
This poem actually reminded me of this legend about whatever-she's-called (lol) who lets the ships glide onto rocks...
Anyway, the alliteration you have here is a nice touch of detail
Thank you for entering this contest, I wish you the best of luck!

Fantastic take on the picture prompt!
I love to read and write about the sea in any shape, form, or fashion. This reminds me so much of how the sound of a lighthouse foghorn must literally sound like music to a seafaring mariner's ears. I can visualize a chorus of seaborne melody.
